studio we architettura was founded by Felix Wettstein and Ludovica Molo in 2010 and is based in Lugano. Both graduated from ETH Zurich, in addition to their work in the studio, are involved in various functions in the field of Baukultur. Ludovica Molo is Director of i2a, Istituto Internazionale di Architettura, and was President of the BSA/FAS, Federation of Swiss Architects until 2024. Felix Wettstein was President of the Landscape Commission of Canton Ticino until 2023. Together they teach design in the master’s program at HSLU, Hochschule Lucerne.

Felix Wettstein, arch. eth fas sia
Felix Wettstein is a principal of studio we architettura in Lugano, Switzerland.
From 1995 to 2009 he was associate of Giraudi-Wettstein architects in Lugano. Their most renowned projects are published extensively worldwide and illustrated in a monografie published by Quart Verlag, Luzern in 2010. Felix Wettstein was born in Zurich in 1962. After an exchange program at the Harvard University GSD in Cambridge USA he graduated from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich in 1988. He worked for Rafael Moneo in Madrid and Manuel Sola-Morales in Barcelona before starting his own practice in Switzerland. From 1993 to 2000 he taught at the ETH Zurich, and he has been a visiting critic and gave lectures at many international schools including the Accademia di architettura in Mendrisio, the Harvard GSD and the Universidad di Navarra (Pamplona). From 2013 to 2023, he was president of the Bellinzona Landscape Commission and from 2005 until 2015 he served as a member of the Sachverständigenrat of St. Gallen. He’s also member of Redaktionskommission werk, bauen + wohnen (Zurich) since 2014 and member of numerous competition juries. Since 2015 he is in charge of the focus Architecture and Structure in the Master of Arts in Architecture at HSLU – T&A in Lucerne.

Ludovica Molo, arch. eth fas
Ludovica Molo is an architect and the director of i2a istituto internazionale di architettura in Lugano, which operates research in the field of architecture and urban culture since 1983. She is a partner of studio we architects in Lugano, which she founded in 2010 with Felix Wettstein. Together they teach Architecture and Structure in the Master of Arts in Architecture at the Lucerne School of Engineering and Architecture. From 2009 to 2018 Molo was also Member of the Stadtbildkommission of the city of Bern and from 2016 to 2018 Member of the Expert Committee of the European Prize for Urban Public Space. She edited The other modern movement, by Kenneth Frampton, appeared by Academy Press. Graduated from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, she was a tutor at the École Polytechnique Fédérale in Lausanne and at the Accademia di architettura in Mendrisio and program director at SCI-Arc Vico Morcote. From 1998 to 2009 she was co-owner of the könz-molo partnership in Lugano. Since 2016 she is the BSA national president. She is also part of the board of the Stiftung Baukultur Schweiz in Bern, of the Swiss Architecture Museum in Basel, of the Swiss Architecture Stiftung in Basel and of the Committee for the Wakker Price
